GENERAL INFORMATION

Dr Blenkin is a certified independent medical examiner who provides medico-legal reports for conditions affecting upper limb (from fingers to shoulder).

With his extensive surgical experience and broad knowledge of his specialty, Dr Blenkin is ideally positioned to offer medico-legal opinions and has extensive experience doing so.

Dr Blenkin is trained to conduct: 

  • Medico-Legal Assessment

  • Independent Medical Examination

  • Permanent Impairment (GEPI) Assessment

  • Expert Specialist Opinion

Dr Blenkin does not to travel to conduct assessments. All medico-legal appointments occur in person at St Andrew's Place, Brisbane.

B R I E F   M A T E R I A L

A hard copy of the letter of instruction and brief material (assembled in a binder with numbered dividers separating enclosures) should be received at least ten (10) days prior to the appointment.  Printing costs will be incurred if a hard copy format cannot be provided. 

MEDICO-LEGAL EXAMINATION

To allow for Dr Blenkin's thorough interview and examination process, two hours is allowed for standard medico-legal appointments.

Claimants are required to provide photo identification, for example, driver's licence or passport, on arrival. 

A non-attendance fee will be incurred without ten full working days' notice. Payment of such an invoice is required prior to rescheduling future assessments.
